Pidgin: Extended Buddy List Sort Plugin
Soo…nachdem das Projekt ein knappes halbes Jahr lang nicht angefasst wurde, habe ich mich in den letzten Wochen noch einmal dran gesetzt und eine ganze Reihe zusätzliche Sortier-Optionen implementiert. Folgende Möglichkeiten sind jetzt verfügbar:
- Größe der Logdateien
- Name
- Online/Offline
- Online-/Offline-Zeit
- Priorität
- Protokoll
- Status
Diese können in drei Stufen kombiniert werden. Will man zum Beispiel die Kontaktliste nach Namen sortieren und Online- bzw. Offline-Kontakte trennen, so muss man “First: Online/Offline” und “Second: Name” einstellen.

Thank you! You are right. I have do the “make” and “make install” successfully. But how should I use it? There are still only four option in Buddies/Sort Buddies.

I have corrected this problem. The default destination is wrong, the right installation directory is /usr/lib/pidgin/
That is not true. Self-compiled stuff always goes to /usr/local . If you want to use self-compiled plugins with a Pidgin that was installed by your package manager you indeed have to adjust the PREFIX.

since latest update of pidgin I cannot get the plugin to work – unfortunately, as I really learned loving this plugin.
any ideas on how to resolve (before update, I had to for corporate reasons, everything worked like a breez). I am on Pidgin 2.10.6 (libpurple 2.10.6)
It’s supposed to work (and it does here). What operating system are you using?
Open the debug window before opening the plugins dialog and see whether it shows something valuable.
